Revelry, our annual comedy show fundraiser, is vital to PVRC’s sustainability. Tickets and sponsorships are now for sale on our website. If you’re signed up for a PVRC program, you’ll be invited to donate items for raffle baskets. If you are not, please consider donating a gift card or other item of value that we can incorporate into a raffle basket, and attending the event. Send questions or ideas to ben.quick@pvriverfront.org. New for 2025: A grand prize of 4 tickets with round trip transportation to a 2025 Patriots home game will be awarded at Revelry and you must be present to win. All attendees receive one free raffle ticket for the Patriots tickets, with more for sale.
Rockrimmon Ergatta: we will be racing against each other, and some visiting rowing and dragon boating clubs on our indoor machines. PLEASE BRING A BREAKFAST ITEM TO SHARE. PVRC will provide Starbucks Coffee (donated) for the morning. Doors open at 8am, first races are at 9am, we should be done by noon. Sign up, and more information here: https://forms.gle/K8EmtgAW86KjQdCU6
Tickets to the Thunderbirds' Pink in the Rink game (March 8) will be on sale via a private link soon. Funds raised at this event support Breast Cancer charities, including our very own Dragon Rays.
Between rowing, boxing (for the adults), yoga, pool clinics, 4702, Nutrition, Rockrimmon Ergatta, Deerfield Tanks, and more, it's been a fun winter at PVRC! Now, we have lots of exciting news to share about spring programs at the Pioneer Valley Riverfront Club:
Select Dragon Boating and Competitive Rowing programs have earlybird discounts if you register by February 16. (Registering does not require prepayment, but you must sign up before 2/16 to get the reduced rate).
Spring programs start March 3.
Introductory classes for adults and kids start in April.
Middle School Rowing and Adult Intro to Rowing occur at the same time slot and there is a $100 savings for signing up for both!
Summer youth 2-week sessions are open for registration and space is limited.
Details are all on our website, so we will not repeat them here, but there is a lot to choose from.
To arrange a payment plan or apply for need-based financial aid please register, select Pay By Check, then contact Executive Director Ben Quick at ben.quick@pvriverfront.org. If you have financial questions before registering contact Ben, or Head Coach Drew Coleman headcoach@pvirverfront.org for rowing, practice, or regatta questions. We are both happy to help.
Since the river is unpredictable in early spring, we are making plans to row at Springfield College on Watershops Pond starting the week of March 11. These plans are still forming, but this would mean youth rowing practice starts later to accommodate extra travel time, from 4pm to 6pm at Springfield College. Not everyone will row there every day and Coach Drew will announce the schedule in the first week of practice.
We did not offer a College Rowing presentation this winter, but here is the slide deck from last year’s excellent presentation.
Please see the Important Dates page on our website for upcoming planned regattas and events. Our expectation is that everyone on the Competitive teams is available for every regatta, and that you will notify Coach Drew at the beginning of the season of any conflicts. Looking ahead, August is very quiet at PVRC, so that's a great time to schedule family vacation around rowing.
Thank you all for your support of the Pioneer Valley Riverfront Club,
